35 \u00e5r gamle John Murphy er ny assistenttrener for A-laget i fotball. Det er imidlertid bare en liten del av hans nye arbeidsoppgaver i klubben.<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Murphy, som opprinnelig er fra Limerick i Irland , tok sin f\u00f8rste trenerutdanning i en alder av 15 \u00e5r. 19 \u00e5r gammel reiste han rundt i Europa p\u00e5 oppdagelsesferd og i Budapest ble han med og startet en fotballklubb (Buda Juniors) sammen med Janos Banfi (25 landskamper for Ungarn, 8 av dem som kaptein).
Her ble John i 14 \u00e5r. I Budapest kunne han kombinere sine to lidenskaper i fotball og musikk (John spiller gitar og opptrer gjerne p\u00e5 en pub ogs\u00e5 i Sandnessj\u00f8en).<\/p>\n

I 2014 var hans samboer ferdig med medisinstudiene og hun fikk seg jobb i Sandnessj\u00f8en. John har siden mai 2015 v\u00e6rt involvert i SIL sin Fotballfritidsordning (FFO) som trener og v\u00e6rt involvert p\u00e5 ulike niv\u00e5er i klubben. N\u00e5 er han klar for st\u00f8rre oppgaver p\u00e5 treningsfeltet, og fra januar 2016 har han formell rolle i klubben.<\/p>\n

Han skal fortsatt ha en rolle p\u00e5 FFO (fotballfritidsordningen), men skal i samarbeid med sportssjef Stian Theting ogs\u00e5 ha ansvar for spillerutviklingen i klubben. Han skal fungere b\u00e5de som treneransvarlig og spillerutvikler p\u00e5 aldersbestemte niv\u00e5 for klubben. <\/p>\n

Dette inneb\u00e6rer at han i tillegg til \u00e5 v\u00e6re en slags trener for trenerne i klubben, f\u00e5r han en sentral rolle for at klubbens sportslige plan gjennomf\u00f8res slik at det er en r\u00f8d tr\u00e5d i spillerutviklingen. Han skal ha en sentral rolle i \u00e5 nominere spillere i klubben til sonesamlinger og f\u00f8lge opp disse spillerne og trenerne deres og gi r\u00e5d og veiledning i forhold til egentrening og spillernes individuelle utviklingsm\u00e5l. I tillegg til disse klubbrollene skal John v\u00e6re assistenttrener p\u00e5 A-laget.<\/p>\n

John forteller til Sil Fotball.no at hans filosofi for utvikling av yngre spillere er at man alltid skal fokusere p\u00e5 tekniske ferdigheter og gj\u00f8re spillerne komfortable med \u00e5 holde ballen i laget f\u00f8r man begynner \u00e5 fokusere p\u00e5 det taktiske. Videre oppfordret John p\u00e5 et trenerm\u00f8te i SIL i begynnelsen av januar trenerne om \u00e5 bruke treningstiden til \u00e5 bruke ball i alle \u00f8velser. John sin filosofi passer utmerket inn i SIL Fotball sin sportsplan, og m\u00e5ten klubben \u00f8nsker \u00e5 drive spillerutvikling p\u00e5.<\/p>\n

John ser frem til nye utfordringer og h\u00e5per at hans lange erfaring kan bidra positivt til at spillerne og trenerne i klubben kan utvikle seg enda mer. <\/p>\n

Sportssjef Stian Theting sier til Silfotball.no at klubben er veldig godt forn\u00f8yd med \u00e5 f\u00e5 John Murphy p\u00e5 plass i disse rollene. Dette er enda et skritt videre i \u00e5 utvikle oss i riktig retning. John blir b\u00e5de en ressurs for spillere som \u00f8nsker \u00e5 utvikle seg men ogs\u00e5 for trenerne.
